- Background & services

The Riviera Care Group was established in 2000 to provide care to young adults between the ages of 18 & 65 who suffer from mental health problems &/or learning disabilities; the business offers both residential & supportive living accommodation in Torbay.

- Where do we provide the care?

We provide the care in our three establishments all of which are located close to Torquay town centre & are within easy walking distance of the harbour & local amenities.

Riviera Court offers 24hr residential care, Rydal Court and The Braddons offer Supportive Living accommodation which provides each client with a minimum of 14hrs of housing related support each week.

We also offer a domiciliary care service to clients living within our Supportive Living Accommodation.

All of our establishments have had full occupancy levels since opening.

- Quality standards & awards

We constantly monitor our quality of service through regular surveys, audits & questionnaires which are used to gain feedback from our clients & their relatives, General Practitioners, community nurses & referring agencies.

In 2004 we gained our Investors in People award and continue to maintain these high standards.

- Company mission statement

The Riviera Care Group are four limited companies owning separate establishments providing care &/or support to young adults with mental health problems, and within our supported living establishments we are also able to accommodate those who have a learning disability.

Emphasis is strongly placed on promoting independence & enhancing quality of life through intervention.

A common theme is that the group's philosophies are that people with mental health problems &/or learning disabilities reside in a centre of excellence.

To achieve this we recognise the importance of maintaining high quality care &/or support for not only the clients but their relatives & significant carers.

We additionally wish to work within an inter-professional & interagency context to achieve seamless & holistic packages of care.

We believe that everything stems from our staff and wish to be recognised as a good employer in which there are equal opportunities progressive & recognised staff development, support and supervision, the best use of skill mix and an inclusive team & client approach.

We anticipate that we will exceed CSCI standard requirements & those of the "Supportive People Scheme".
