> Supportive Living

- How is the care provided?

The supportive living care is provided in each establishment by a team consisting of a manager & an on-site group of support workers.

Each client will be assessed & supported depending on their own capabilities and merits, appropriate stimulation will be offered to prevent deterioration and to improve & sustain a high quality of life for each person, and this helps to enhance dignity & encourages clients to achieve their maximum potential.

Each client will receive a minimum of 14hrs of support each week helping with various day-to-day tasks depending on their needs.

The supportive living service we provide is partially funded by the "Supporting People scheme”.

Our supportive living services & accommodation are unable to cater for those who have learning or physical disabilities or those who fall outside of the age category.

- Where is the care offered?

We provide Supportive living accommodation at our Rydal Court & The Braddons establishments which are both large spacious detached buildings close to Torquay's town centre, harbour & local amenities; they both offer a mixture of one bed roomed flats & studio apartments, which are all furnished & decorated.

Both of the supportive living accommodation establishments have communal areas & offer arranged educational & recreational activities.

- Extra support

Extra support is available over & above the included 14hrs, & it is made available through Riviera Outreach who provides our domiciliary care service, they offer long-term, live-in, support services which offer an alternative to residential care for clients who wish to remain living on their own.

This service is registered with the Commission for Social Care Inspection.
